My customer wanted to get Mickey something special. She was thinking a set of whiskey glasses. When we spoke she told me a few things that Mickey was interested in. Immediately, Texas Hold 'em stood out in my head. I almost instantly could picture it in my head. I took the idea of a poker chip and simplified it, played around with fonts of the saying to make it more visually interesting and at the last second swapped out the "o" in know with a spade to tie it all together. I had a lot of fun creating this piece. The final were 2 of each glass. I could envision Mickey playing cards with his buddies while drinking out of his glasses pondering to himself .... should I "hold 'em" or should I "fold 'em".
