Verizon is recognizing seven of their top employees with this contemporary award. It is made of lacquered wood, stand offs to suspend the glass and two aluminum rods that create a striking three dimensional award. The engraving is etched on the glass and creates a floating look.
A U.S. Coast Guard captain wanted to give a few of his men a parting gift. He picked a pilsner glass and engraved each of his men's correct ranking (the stars at the top of the anchor tell you so) and personalized a step further with their name. It made quite an impression on them.
Etched Photograph with Light Base
The Fellowship Baptist Church is celebrating their 50th Anniversary. Rev. Archibald wanted to present 3 of his deacons with an award thanking them for their years of service. He chose a light up base illuminating an etched picture. Each one had the same top half of the 3 ministers overlaying a faded picture of their church while the bottom half was personalized with their picture and a saying.
Engraved Tree Bark Glass Vase
Richie was clever when he was preparing his gift for Tara.
He bought a beautiful bouquet and added some rocks and red food coloring to the water to bring out the etching of the vase. What a great effect it gave to the whole piece.
Great Job Richie! Very creative.

Personalized Photograph on Bottle
Eugene, 19 years old, was traveling to see his family in his native town of Bolivia. He hadn't seen his grandparents in many years and wanted to give them a little something for their anniversary. Eugene bought a liquor bottle from NetCost Liquors but didn't think it was personal enough. He wanted to bring them something different and special from the "states". He asked if Crystal Swan Etchings could etch their photo on the back of the bottle wishing them a Happy Anniversary. Eugene's grandparents loved the gift and said they have never seen anything like it before. Thank goodness Eugene had the bottle personalized ... it was the only way customs wold let him bring it into the country!
Engraved Invitation on Glass Vase
My wife loves my idea of engraving an invitation on a vase as a keepsake. When she asked me to engrave her cousin's wedding invitation, I knew I would have to make some adjustments. I show on my website the invitation vase to be etched on a 8x5 square vase, but Helaina's invite, when opened measured approximately 6x14. I explained to her that shrinking her invite down to fit on that size would make the text illegible and it wouldn't be worth it. I told her not to worry, I would find one that worked. I picked, a taller cylindrical vase, that allowed me to keep the invite closer to its actual size. This vase measured 4x12. The great thing about Crystal Swan Etchings, is that I can customize your glass etching project to fit your needs. I give suggestions on my website, but I can always make adjustments.
Etched Song Lyrics on Vase
Kristen loved her Valentine's Day gift from Brian. A vase by Crystal Swan Etchings with their song lyrics, "I won't Give Up" by Jason Mraz etched into it behind a heart that says "I Love You Kristen". It was perfect for Valentine's Day but can also make a great gift as a wedding, engagement or anniversary for your loved one or a special couple.
Etched Wine Bottle
Mrs. Guglielmo wanted a retirement gift for her son. She asked if I could engrave on a wine bottle the NYPD Detective shield with her son's number congratulating him. I deep etched it and finished it with a gold paint to make it pop more. She was extremely happy with the final product ... hopefully Louis like it too.
This is my annual award for Lutheran Social Services. It is a multi-stage carving of Jesus with Children. One of the first steps in creating a carved glass piece is creating a map. Carvings are done reverse and the things that appear closest to you are carved first and are the deepest. Before heading to the sandblasting cabinet you have to map out what you will be blasting first. There is a formula to it but every glass etcher has their own way of doing it; above is mine.
When I'm done there will be 3 in total.
Engraved Glass Mug
Mr. Scollo was having a family reunion and wanted to give each of his family members something to remember the event by. He picked a large 27.5 inch thumbprint glass mug and had Crystal Swan Etchings etch his family name inside a wreath.
